Italian Coffee Beans 1kg – Supremo Oriente | Medium Roast Whole Bean | Pavin Caffè

I drink so much espresso and love trying new beans. I had the opportunity to order and try this 6 large, 2.2 pound bag of whole espresso beans from Pavin caffe in Supremo Oriente roast. This bag is well sealed, but not resealable for freshness. Because of this, and the fact that 2.2 pounds is a lot, I moved the beans into a releasable bag after opening. Pavin beans are produced and roasted in Italy, which is so fun. The beans smell amazing! This is a medium roast espresso that is 100% arabica. They seem fresh, and grounded in my grinder beautifully. Pulling shots, I found it pulled better than my otherwise go-to brand of roasted beans with perfectly timed shots and had a great crema top. Taste wise, this is superb. It is smooth, balanced, velvety, and easy to drink if you're an espresso lover like I am. The bag has a roasted date that is recent and an expiration date that is not until 2028. Overall, I think this is a very nice medium roasted espresso bean that smells and tastes fantastic and might be one of my favorites that I've tried in the last year. I appreciate that it is mold free and non-GMO, both of which are important to me. Price-wise, $35.99 for 2.2 pounds is more affordable than what I would expect to pay per ounce for other nice espresso roasts and I genuinely love these beans!!

When I ordered this, I didn't realize the bag was the size you see local coffee houses use! More than twice what's in the normal bags from the grocery store. I will be set for a really long time. These whole beans smelled delicious and arrived vacuum packed. The beans look a bit smaller than normal, but I feel like that means bigger flavor, and it definitely delivered on that with a smooth mouthfeel and not a lot of bitterness when milk and sugar were added (I like lattes). The quality of the beans was high-grade. I would not hesitate to use this for professional catering or another business. I fine-ground these to use in my espresso machine, so there was not a lot of acidity, as that is lower naturally in an espresso situation rather than drip coffee. I love that they're organic (I choose mostly organic for anything I eat or drink). Even tho the price appears expensive at $30+ (at time of review) per bag, you have to consider how much more coffee you're getting than the standard store-bought bag. This seems a good value for the money, and I'm excited to try the other flavors they offer.

Pretty good beans. Tasted fresh, had an expiration date in 2027 however of course beans are best as close to the roast date as possible. Ground in a Fellow grinder and used in a Breville, took a little bit to find a good point. Smooth, a little acidic. I prefer less acidity overall though. Decent value as you get lots of beans. Was unable to really see where exactly these beans were roasted, and there was a ton of different languages noted on the back.

Can't say enough good things about this coffee brand. This is the second bag that we got and they are both delicious and smooth. The aroma fills the house and it smells amazing. The price is very reasonable for the quality of the beans.
