Right out of the bag, the aroma is rich and inviting, with that classic espresso-bar vibe that makes you want to fire up the machine immediately. The beans look evenly roasted with a nice medium-brown color, and they feel dry and fresh rather than oily or greasy. It's the kind of coffee you can tell was roasted with consistency, which makes dialing in a lot easier. In daily use, it's been really reliable for espresso shots-good crema, a smooth body, and a flavor that stays nicely balanced from the first sip to the finish. I've been using it for morning doubles and also for quick afternoon iced lattes, and it holds up well without getting lost in milk. The taste lands in a comfortable middle ground: plenty of depth and a little bite, but not so intense that it overwhelms. I also appreciate how forgiving the beans are when adjusting grind size; small tweaks actually feel predictable instead of turning the shot sour one day and bitter the next. A smooth, rich espresso! The beans were light and easy to grind. Immediately when you open the bag it has a bright and rich espresso aroma. The espresso shots were dark, blended well and created creamy, easy to drink espresso! I didn't notice any bitterness or dissatisfying after taste. For an Italian imported bean, at $33, the price is reasonable. The bag is a good size; depending on how frequent an espresso drinker you are - this could last a while.

I drink coffee every day and was OK with lower quality beans in the past, but have become more of a connoisseur recently. There is something about the rich flavor and complexity of a good cup of coffee that puts me in gear for all of the chaos at work. I occasionally go to coffee shops, but it is much more convenient to make it at home in my espresso machine. I was very impressed with the flavor of Pavin caffe Espresso Bar beans. It is not bitter at all, has a smooth finish and no where near the acidity I get from lesser brands. The smell as it is brewing is outstanding. I noticed from across the house and led to the machine by my nose like a classic cartoon skit. I will definitely keep this in my cupboard from now on. It really is the best cup of coffee I have had at home or anywhere recently. Great price for high quality espresso.

Pretty good beans. Good bold flavor. You do need to grind these, I put them through a fellow grinder and breville espresso machine. Took a while to dial in, but does end up being pretty smooth. Unsure if I would purchase it again though because of the price.
